Sara aka Glory was very active on the Tower of Time, one of my message boards, until she was involved in a horrible car accident which left her "locked in." Basically, she can't voluntarily control much more than her eyes, although her mental function is still all there.

Okay, so here's the deal: I have been working on a revised Princess Venus costume of and on for the past year and a half or so. Unfortunately, I kinda have sizing issues that have occurred since then that can't really be remedied by simply losing weight. I'm not devoted enough to the costume myself to go to the trouble of making it bigger in said areas *cough*, but I'd still like to finish it. So if anybody's interested in cosplaying Princess Venus but doesn't know how to sew, here are the stats for it.
Currently it's made to fit about a 36" breast measurement, 28" waist, about 38/39" hips pretty snugly; a bit smaller measurements and you probably would be more comfortable. It's made for my height, about 5'6", although I have loads at the hem, so you'd be okay if you're taller or shorter, so long as it's not too drastic in the torso. Any of those measurements can be taken in or up, NOT OUT. It's constructed to be pretty much as accurate as you can get to Naoko's drawings (meaning low back), so it has a D-cup bra built in which can be taken out and replaced with something smaller. For extra support, there is boning in the center panel, creating a more slimming, shaping effect. Additionally, there are understraps created from bra strap elastic for more support (yeah...I kinda went nuts there). There's a heavier duty cotton skirt lining down to about mid-knees for extra shaping at the hips.
The bulk of the costume is made from gold bridal satin and a cream colored crystal organza. The organza overskirt was created from a full-circle pattern and gathered, so it's adequately fluffy for the design. The bows and ribbon choker are made from the same fabric (pulled tubes).
What remains to be done (unless I end up taking things in) is putting in the zipper, sewing on the straps and bows, and hemming both the overskirt and the main skirt. I'll do these when I get an offer so I can do any alterations first.
I'm asking $125 for the dress, which will cover the work I've done, shipping and any notions and the like I need to buy to finish it. This includes the dress, the choker, and the hair bow. For $5 extra, I have the PERFECT pair of matching shoes in size 7 1/2. For $50 extra, I'll finish styling the wig I have for it (I'll want to dye it because I got in a color I didn't really like, as well as do the actual styling) and include that.

If you're interested, note me! from what I see a lot of people charge for costumes, this is a great price, and since I already have most everything bought for it, most of the money would go to a great cause.
